Dog on the Show Dog Whisperer Dies
Written by petlover
I'm a fan of the show, Dog Whisperer, and watch as often as I can get to it. Naturally, Cesar's show featured many dogs, but one of his most popular from the doggy pack itself was 'Daddy' a very calm, surprisingly gentle Pit Bull. Daddy after 16 long and fulfilling years died on February 19th 2010. According to a press release, Daddy passed away while surrounded by friends and family though it didn't state how he died. Cesar did know that Daddy was getting close to passing on prior to the day though. He apparently helped Cesar pick out a new pup to replace him in the pack when the time came. Daddy came to live with Cesar at 4 months old originally lived with the rapper, Reginold Noble AKA Redman. However, the rapper was having trouble with Daddy so he brought the pup to Cesar's Dog Psychology Center where Daddy ended up becoming a permanent resident due to the rapper's other career related responsibilities. Eventually, Cesar adopted Daddy and the two became very close. Over time Daddy's extremely balenced, calm and submissive nature garnered the notice of millions of Dog Whisperer fans. Cesar often brought Daddy in to help calm excited out of balenced dogs on the show and even referred to the pit bull as an Ambassadar for all Pit Bulls. Chris Albert, Vice President of Communications for the National Geographic Channel states of the dog, "There would be people who would say, 'You know, Daddy has completely changed my mind about dogs or about 'pit bulls' or about life'...It was just amazing to hear those stories" To honor Daddy's memory the Millan family has established an emergancy animal rescue fund in his name. The fund will be available to help dogs that are victims of abuse, violence or even natural disasters such as hurricanes and fires. Millan plans on burying Daddy in a special temple he will build on his ranch. wherever you are, may the force be with you Daddy. Source: http://www.petsunlimited.com/local_pet_blogs.cfm/id/2051
